Required Documents

    1. Proof of Status in Canada for student

    2. Proof of Status in Canada for parent/legal guardian

    Accepted documents are:

    • Canadian Citizens: Canadian Birth Certificate, Canadian Passport, Citizenship Card/Certificate (front & back), Certificate of Indian Status Identification Card
    • Permanent Residents: Permanent Residence Card (both sides) or Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document (valid landing document) and passports
    • Work Permit: Parent's Work Permit, Parent's Letter/Offer of Employment and parent's passport (for student under 19)
    • Study Permit: Study Permit, Letter of Acceptance from school program/admission letter, and proof of tuition payment, course timetable/schedule and passports
    • Refugee Claimant Document(s) and copy of passport
    • Diplomatic Card and passports
    • Legal documentation proving guardianship where applicable

    1. Proof of address in BC for student in the name of the parent/guardian with whom the school aged student resides with

    Accepted documents are:

    • Purchase agreement: for new homeowners with subjects removed.
    • A current utility bill (BC Hydro, gas, landline telephone or internet/cable statement).
    • Formal rental or lease agreement and,

    o A current utility bill (BC Hydro, gas, landline telephone, or internet/cable statement) in either the landlord or homeowner name(s) or in the tenant’s name (as per the lease/tenancy agreement).

    Accepted documents are:

    • A current utility bill (BC Hydro, gas, landline telephone, or internet/cable
      • statement) in either the landlord or homeowner name(s) or in the tenant's name (as per the lease/tenancy agreement).
    • BC Driver's License, BC Services Card, or BCID
